LifeSmarts

 2016
Congratulations to the 2016 State Champion LifeSmarts Team!

West Chicago Community High School Business Education students have a rich history competing in LifeSmarts. LifeSmarts is a program of the National Consumers League that provides a competitive environment to test students knowledge in the field of Consumer Education. Students are tested in five main areas: consumer rights and responsibilities, the environment, health and safety, personal finance, and technology. Each March West Chicago Community High School hosts the Illinois State LifeSmarts competition.  Winning the state tournament allows teams to compete at the national level.  In recent years, West Chicago students have traveled to Anaheim, CA, Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA and Seattle, WA representing Illinois at the national level.

Students and their sponsors, Ms. Blume and Mrs. Durbin, traveled to Denver, CO April 9-12, 2016 to compete in this year's National Competition.  Congratulations students and sponsors!
